Local Exchange Trading System (LETS)
LETS is a form of bartering, started to save people money and to get work done using people you know and trust to do jobs for you, or to exchange goods and have lots of fun in the process. In these lean and testing times of the recession it is an ideal way to save pennies and work together to bring our community back together. It can be as simple as picking up someone’s prescription for them, walking the dog, or bigger jobs such as tidying gardens, building garden walls and plumbing in a bathroom. The LETS system has been going for many years and is spread throughout Britain and the rest of the world, it helps the community to live realistically, within their means and keeps everything local to the area. We also have a get together every now and then to share food, and have fun exchanging goods, this often covers things like plants, homemade bread, jams, clothing (in good condition) and much much more. People help each other. Everyone is welcome to join our group all you have to do is contact Ann on 866003 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
